Egt limited engine
Hello,
i am still a newbie of the wi... but i have the suspect it's an issue i could ask your advice for... What would you do if you had an egt limited engine? I mean, i still have boost (0.4 bar) to run with good turbo efficiency, but now i have skyrocket egt (950 C at valve exit = 1070 C at turbine inlet) at 2 bar and no det. Any advancing of ignition timing ( to lower egt) gives me det. Can I presume that: - mine is end has det (cause it disappears when i retard ignition) ? And that: - i have my ppp way later than 14 deg atdc (cause my egt are so high) ? So, afaik, my goal should be to fight end gas det... correct? So that i could advance a bit the timing to lower egt without having det. For this purpose, what are your advices about wi? Pure water, 50%meth? Any other consideration or tuning advice? Thank you...
