DRI is completely separate from the orange wire.

There are two failsafes on the HFS3:
1. orange wire (TGV pin)
2. Brown and white (BCV related) "never" connect this to the TGV pin.

So after having two reputable Subaru tuning shops look into my car with the Aquamist setup I am still having issues. We have triple checked all the wiring/grounds and have tuned for the map switching. We have turned off all the EVAP codes that are popping up. When map switching changes from 0 volts (gauge off) to 5 volts(gauge on)my coolant gauge will drop all the way down as if it's off and read 99 degrees of coolant. When the system is turned back to 0 volts the coolant gauge works perfectly and goes back up to normal temperature. The failsafe is set up properly will work, the unit will read injector duty cycle and spray accordingly. I guess it's time to move on from the system.

When you turn off at the gauge, the failsafe will trip unless you remove the DHB link. It is all in the user manual. Did your two reputable tuners know this?

Good.

Have you considered using the 0-5V flow signal (yellow wire of the green harness) to enhance the tune progressively?
