Default One or two nozzles?

Hello. I'm sure this question is asked frequently, but I was unable to find an answer within these forums. I've read that smaller droplet sizes are more effective, and smaller nozzles produce smaller droplets. A 550cc/min target could be achieved with a single 1.2mm nozzle, or with two nozzles roughly half that size. Theoretically, the two smaller nozzles should be better, but are they better in practice? If the resulting power difference is trivial, I'd rather have the single nozzle.
