Default engine temp increase with prolong methanol use??

went on track initially without spraying due to pump fault and engine parameters were normal..

finally fixed the pump and spraying 50/50 meth/water.. 4 minutes into the lap my water temp just shot up..

someone mentioned methanol could be the cause, but i was thinking if its used for cooling charge air most of the methanol would have evaporated prior to entering the cylinder.. unless it burned before reaching the cylinder ?? :?:

I would eliminate the obvious suspects first like possibly a blown head gasket. If you have a head gasket leak into the cooling system your radiator will go nuclear in a matter of minutes as the cooling system is pressurized by the exhaust gases.

That or a stuck thermostat.

Unless your somehow going lean I can't imagine how the WI could increase engine temp.
