Default Subaru Legacy Ouback XT - Hybrid Aquamist system

overview of the engine compartment with the water/methanol injection system installed (sorry about the text in the photos... it resized horribly).

picture of intercooler with jets and lines installed.

main control pack, installed in the "rain tray"... this car uses two 2D systems with two DDS2 systems, two accumulators (one in front and one in the rear), front and rear pressure monitoring, two .9mm jets and will have an additional four .3mm jets installed in the tumble valves and two more accumulators (additional in front and rear) to be added when the new powerplant is installed.

feed lines from trunk mounted pump/tank and feed lines to the intercooler mounted jets.

interior control unit pack... we built this to make the inside car wiring much cleaner... this unit holds all the Aquamist control units as well as fuses... uses 9 pin Dsub connectors... (this unit is for another WI install that I am doing (2.8L 30v audi V6 supercharged w/ port based WI).

trunk mounted system... shurflo pump with 2 6mm lines to front system pack... additional accumulator will be added here in the near future... manual system pressure gauge, water tank filter.

the water/methanol tank that we made for the trunk (will be recarpeted in same color carpet as soon as we source it)... approximately 30% of main fuel tank... includes a flapper check valve... -6AN feed line to shurflo pump.

cockpit warnings and gauges... everything is hidden in this car... individual system lights for both 2D systems... indicators for injector signal (yellow LEDs... systems are running 180 degrees from each other)... indicators for HSV operation (green LEDs)... two DDS2 flow meters... tank level low is indicated by trunk ajar warning light in instrument cluster... system fault displayed by flashing all doors ajar in the factory instrument cluster... this triggers the boost solenoid to open (dropping boost to mechanical level, where the ecu was mapped for pump gas with no water/methanol)... the psi3/ecutek dash display offers a pressure sensor input (on this car we have a switch that triggers between oil pressure displayed and WI system pressure displayed (sensor mounted in front system pack in 'rain tray').

The installation is absolutely stunning - thanks for posting such a fine set of pictures.

Since WI is playing such an important part of your tuning strategy it is only fair that the planing of the location of all components be as important as the control electronics.

I can say that the WI system will work as reliable as the factory fuel injection system. Please continue to update it.

I recognoise KT has always been one of the leading company that produce great quality work consistantly over the years as regardng WI systems.
