This system was made in March 2013. It should work with your BMW without and problem. It is a version 2.

Please tell me some brief history of the system.

It was previously fitted on a turbo focus, when it was removed it had all cables cut (fav, water level and flow meter) All of which I've rejoined.. the guage lead was intact. The system has been primed and I've tested the guage by moving the jumper and it lit up okay...

When you performed the SYS test, did the gauge showed any flow bars?

Yea, and when I adjusted the screw I could fill the guage with more bars

On the previous Focus installation, did you get any relay clicks?
I think the issue is your injector circuit and power circuit. I don't it is a HFS3 issue.

Can you check your fuel injectors have resistor pack?

To check this, just remove the thin red wire of the grey harness and connect it to a known steady 12V supply. If the click gores away. The issue is caused by the resistor pack.

A pulsed 12V supply will cause the relay to click. Does this make sense?

I don't think you have taken in what I was trying to tell you. An unstable 12V from the red wire of the grey harness will cause the relay to click. It is a wiring issue, nothing to do with the HFS3.
