Default looking to purchase hfs-3/few questions

hello, im looking to purchase an hfs-3 kit for my 03 lancer evolution. i used to run e85 in the car but my station stopped selling so i figured its time to convert to meth.

what size jet would i use on my car? i would like to run 100% meth and i currently have 1450cc injectors. by looking at the how to on howerton engineerings site it seems like i would want to use 3 1.0mm jets. does that sound about right? does IDC also play a role into this? with 1450cc injectors im not expecting to max it out. my tuner is thinking that i should be roughly around 55% duty. should i multiply 1440*1.1=1595 for the 10% loss. should i then multiply 1595*.55 for the amount of injector that will actually be used? im a little lost with all this lol

when running more than one jet do you just T off the hose to each jet? if i have to run more than one jet which it sounds like i will i can just run the line up to the engine bay and T it off from there right?

im sure i will have more questions but these are just a few. like i said i havent even bought the system yet but i most likely will in the next two weeks or so.

any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

mitch

On the HFS-3, you can re-scale the incoming IDC signal.

The simplest way to do this is by multiply the incoming IDC signal x2 and size the water jet flow by 50% of the recommended water/fuel ratio. This way, you don't need to use 3x 1mm nozzles.

recommended ratio:
100% water ................. 10 -15% to fuel
W50/M50 ................. 15 -20% to fuel
100% methanol ................. 20 -25% to fuel

modified ratio to match the large fuel injectors (1450cc/min x4):
100% water ................. 5 -7.5% to fuel (290-435cc/min)
W50/M50 ................. 7.5 -10% to fuel (435-580cc/min)
100% methanol ................. 10 - 12.5% to fuel (580cc - 725cc/min)

You can now pick your jets sizes according to the chart in the user manual. Add 10%.

the HFS3-v2 gain is over 4x so I think a 2x gain on the trimmer is about 2 o'clock.

It is easier to observe the >95% red led on the controller to confirm the maximum operating range is reached.
