INTRODUCTION Here is a valve that will out perform any fuel injector, this stainless water injection valve was designed specially for high level racing applications and is now available. MINIATURE SIZE The HSV (High Speed Valve) is very small , measures less than 50mm in length and 14mm in diameter excluding the electrical terminals which protude approximately 6mm from the body. HIGH SPEED The most important measurements of a valve's performance is speed, the higher the speed, the better the control. This valve can cycle up to 250 cycles per second. HIGH FLOW The valve has and orifice of 1.4mm and maximum flow of 500 CC of water per minute at 4 bars. WHO USES IT? It is available to anyone who uses custom ECUs that has an spare PWM channel dedicated for sole use of water injection . Prodrive (Saubaru WRC) has acquired a batch and will be homologating them for use on the Subaru WRC for the 1999 season. There are other WRC teams are considering using it in the very near future HOW TO INTERFACE IT? We have made a simple sketch below (I hope it is legible), the valve is used in conjunction with our pump and a simple manifold assembly. For more advance users, diagnostic signals can be extracted by using either a spare analogue or digital input from the ECU. |
