We alologise that this system is not avaliable for general distribution. The system was originally designed for Original Equipment Manufacturers. Rolls Royce was the first main-line car manufacturer to utilise this system for the famous Mulsanne Bently Turbo. Robert Jankles "tempest" was also using this system for their 535BHP / 600lb.ft superfast convertable. The system requires total internal software communication link with the stock ECU to maximise its full potential. The general outline specifications of this system are: Fully learning capabability, automatically detect and record detonation in 128 "RPM sites" and "64 load site", approx. 9,000 locations and 256 levels. Water injection rate is automatically calculated during and after the engine switched off period, all new and old data are stored into two "flash memory" chips. The heart of the system was controlled by a 16-bit Intel 80xx Microcotroller running at 16MHz. Due to large temperature variation in different part of the world, the system is able to actively conditioning itself to any climate conditions; wheather hot or cold, sea level or 5,000 feet up the Mexican mountains, thanks to the "boot block" flash memories technology by Intel, it only just introduced by intel Corp. of USA at the time. You can take a look at the above map, generated and downloaded via the onboard RS232 link. It only took two hours of test drive on an ordinary road. The system is still being evaluated by many car manufatures today. |
