Default Howerton Engineering Blog

Thanks for taking an interest in Aquamist Systems and the products we make to support them. We hope to post up some details every few days about new products we are working on, projects in progress, and other product development related items. Enjoy.

Default Porsche Fuel Cell

Here's a tank we just finished up for the front of a Porsche. Carbon fiber twill on the top.

A test sample we made up today. It's a bit rough, but we'll be trying some different items as see how they look.

P.S. It's not real.

EDIT: Added a couple new pictures. You can see we put a few scratches in the front of the unit handling it.

Thanks for the kind words. We'll try to post up a bit more technical project work as well.

I've got some interesting, somewhat odd tanks here I'll post a few pictures of today. Maybe someone will have a need for one in their application.

Here are some "odd-ball" tanks we picked up. Both have tapered bottoms to help with surging issues, but this also means there is some wasted space under the units. They do have some nice big openings at the top so putting any baffling plates in should be pretty easy. Let us know what you think.

P.S. If I remember right the left is 2.5 gallons and the right is 4 gallons.

One more picture for today. This was a kit put together for a MKV Golf in Australia. Most folks never see the tank this way, kind of an interesting look with the lid off the unit.

We now have aluminum weld bungs for direct fitment of the jets(no jet adapter) into a manifold or piping as well as the new 4 and 6 port distribution manifolds in stock. We can configure the manifolds with blanking plugs, an extra fitting to go to a gauge etc.

Hmm. I could maybe go for the 6-port manifold. Currently I'm using (2) 1-into-4 fittings for a 6-cylinder, so I had to run a small piece of hose from the extra port on one fitting into the extra port on the other. That manifold is incredibly nice looking!
