On average, the jets has a range of 30-80 microns. Too fine a spray may evoporately too quickly for the duration of the journey to the cylinder leaving less cooling capacity for cylinders. It is similar to injecting steam, which has little of no cooling effect in the lowish temperature range of the inlet tract.

I was curious as to what size water droplets are preferred for pre compressor injection so as to be confident that there will be minimal wear on the turbo wheel.

Registered as I just heard about it. I was in the market for the HFS-6, now have my sights set on this.
May I be placed on the waiting list?

Re: HFS-4 Q&A, application for your engine...

Richard I have a question given the information below for the OEM 996 tt map sensor what should we set the jumpers for on the HSF4 unit?. we have the unit running and working but it doesn't seem to hold down intake temps that well an I wonder of it is because we don't have the settings right everything is stock settings on the unit right now. Any help would be appreciated.
Jon

This is what mine reads, I just took it out and measured it on the bench with 5v applied.

1psi =1.92v
5psi = 2.53v
10psi= 3.2v
15psi = 3.86v
20psi = 4.5v
25psi = 4.84v
30psi

Thanks in Advance

SWR
The oe sensor is sold through Bosch Motor sports with a different part number. My guess is with a little "google" work, you can fine the specs of the bosch motorsports unit.

1.55 bar should equal about 4.9 volts... Keep in mind that the stock sensor can only ready to 2250 mbar, so your 25psi data is actually more like 22.5 psi.

I figured it out 3 bar jumper.
Thanks

It is near enough. It appears to be a 2.5 bar MAP sensor. But there is a gain trimmer on board to make it up. A little bit of circuitry and soldering work for you

what jets are you using? Also interested to know how far are the jets away from the throttle.

]I am using 2 x 1.0 mm jets with the .7 restrictor Jets are 12" from throttle body in a 3" custom plenum.
