WI on NA engine(to be SC-ed)

Hi, I am new here.
I have a Q.Is it possible to instal WI kit on V6 Passat that will be equipped with SC (Eaton M62 based kit) with custom made intake manifold?

TIA

Yes it would be possible and if the tuning will also be custom in addition to the manifold it would also likely be desirable, since your current NA likely has a decent CR that you will be SC on top of.

As long as the intake manifold is being custom fabbed - consider discussing with the fabricator that they should develop this with a wet intake in mind. You want the manifold to contribute to a good equal mixing of the water charge prior to the ports.

Thanks for the answer. I am sure they will not bother themselves to additionald do something on their kit, it anyway comes with chip programing other fuel injectors etc

Ahh I see. I took custom to be you were having something one off made. Strange a VW aftermarket supplier would choose a Henry Ford quote...

Shame they do not have a picture of it installed but based on that manifold you are probably going to be in the same position as many with SC and need to inject prior to the blower unless there is a riser between the blower and manifold. Though blowers do a very good job of making a uniform mixture to the intake. I think you will find some miatas, gran prix and other makes on this board with similar discussions and conclusions.

If this works similarly to Jackson Racing blower kits you can probably increase the boost with an optional pulley and then use water injection to suppress detonation.

That is my quote not from tuner, sorry for confusion. My first car was Ford Escort Turbo
Here you can see pic, of Julianfang-club member from my base Forum (ClubB5).Not best, but you can catch idea

looking at the drive belt from the picture, do you get any slippage? the water pump pulley almost have no contact area.

I am expecting my kit in matter of few weeks. As far as I have info from SC forum (superchargedaudi.com) no one have problem with slippage, altough it is very bad designed belt path.As you can see SC pulley is also not "wrapped" with belt like it should be.
Biggest problem that majority of owners of this SC kit are facing is LTFT (rich a/f ratio) and consequently building up a carbon in cilinders.

I can see that there is a possibility to add two small free-rotating belt-tensioning pulleys on either side of the s/c pulley.

At leaset adding one on the left s/c (view from front) will make the whole installation a lot more logical.

It came to my mind as well, but did not know how to do it. If I understood you well, you said to add on the left side (pic view) to be fixed on SC and to be from outside part of belt, passive pulley.

without the direct front viewing angle, it is difficult to see any available bolts or fixing points.

Ideally, if there is enough clearance to slip the belt between the two pulleys and have the tensioning pulley on the right hand side.
