Hello.
I'm looking for a wmi system and this looks the best. But I still have some questions, what's the difference between hfs3 v2 and v3? I'm running on 1,4 bars in my 207 reaching 245whp. It's an 1.6 turbocharged petrol with stock injectors What size of nozzle do I need to use if I want to run on sprayer fluid? Or just water? |

The v3 replaced the v2 last March.
For 245whp, you need to run a 0.6 or 0.7mm nozzle with M50/W50. Richard |

So windscreen fluid or pure water isn't a option?
I won't change the ecu settings for wmi. It's just a bit more power and safety against the carbon buildup. |

Washer fluid contains high percentage of water so the flow has to be reduced. I think a 0.6mm is more appropriate.

I cannot answer this question, they are all different, depending on the maker.

Are there some ingredients often found in washer fluid that would be bad for the pump/engine?
So I know witch fluid to take or not to take. |

The best way to avoid problem mix is made your own water/methanol mix. Get some colour dye from a fabric shop and colour the mix. Only use DI water.

Can you explain to me where I need to connect the ecu cabel?
It says to the injector... But how I suppose to connect that? I want to know how to connect everything before ordering a kit. |

I am unable to locate a factory ECU pinout diagram.
You need to splice the red and green wire of the green harness directly to fuel injector. There are two wires from the fuel injector. There is some here installed the system to a 207 sometime ago. I will ask him. Richard |

we found the 0.6mm injector was the best option, the 0.7mm and 0.8mm were putting in too much to the small 1.6l engine and we were loosing power, with the 0.6mm it works perfect. as for the wiring.... its definitely a job for a Peugeot specialist! |

ah oke i was thinking about going to the nearest Peugeot garage and ask them.
but also found the wiring of a r56 mini cooper s, its the same engine and the diagarm of his ECU looks the same as the 207. |

Andy sharp (above) mentioned 0.6 am 0.7mm. I think it is pretty accurate. The systemn come with 3 jets, so go for 0.5, 0.6 and 0.7mm.
It is not so critical for the jet sizes as the system and adjust flow electronically. The system comes with jet adaptor (1/8NPT). If you don't use it the jet is M8 x 0.75mm |

Found it thanks.
The set was deliverd with 0,9 0,8 and 0,7... But i traded the 0,9 with a 0,6 so thats fine. Tomorrow gonna finish the install. |

Yeah, they had.
Did called them and asked for the 0,6 mm and they swapped it before sending. Tomorrow I gonna build the system in the motordepartment, are there any advice for additional care? |

Yes.
1. Make sure the pump and tank is in the trunk before the pump is not water 100% water proof. 2. The controller should be within reach of the driver or passenger. Glove compartment is ideal. 3. Keep the FAV and jet within 500mm. The FAV should be mounted to the chassis of the engine bay, preferably a cool and dry location. 4. Important: For best result, place the jet at the exit of the IC or as far away from the throttle as possible. 5. Do you a HFS2 or HFS3? For HFS3, you need to solder link 1&2 to change the "low range" flow table (p21) |

I got the hfs2, because I don't change the ecu settings so I don't need more failsafes.
I'll use the windshield reservoir and the pump behind the front bumper like Andy. |

Make sure you seal the following parts:
1, Pump's cable gland - prone to water ingression and will destroy the pump bearing if water gets in. 2. The pump relay cluster, put them into a plastic bag or box. |

The cable gland you mean the two wires on top of the pump? Need to seal it with silicone?
And the pomp + wire... Does it go to the battery + or switch 12v? |

yes, the entry point of the two wires must be sealed. The pump+ wire goes to the battery. Or a switched 12V that can handle 15A surge of current.

Urgend help needed...
i instald the kit but now my emission error comes on. I plugd in the ecu and power plug in the controller, but when i start the engine the led turns red. |

did connect the ecu connector, green to fuel injector-, red to ingition switch and blue on map sensor...
Do i need to use the USER cable aswell? its direct injection |

I got the power supply, ECU and Gauge inserted.
When i start the engine the gauges turn orange, after 5 sec it turns red... What is can this be? The emmision error is been fixed already. I installed like the mini diagram. ECU: - Blue on MAP sensor - Red on switch ignition - White on the wastegate valve begin - Brown on the wastegate valve end USER: -Green on injector - -Red on injector + |

For di enignes, you need to cut x1 link and solder link x2.5. This is on the underside of the circuit board

Got the system up and running!
Now i need to find out what the best settings are for the GAIN and THRES, tips for this part? 1 little problem, when i turn off the system, the car doesnt boost anymore, any idea? |

I would keep all trimmer to 12 pm. Just play with the "thres" trimmer.
You need to unlink DHB if you want full boost when you switch the system off. I believe the yellow led will remain on to warn you the system is not longer cooled by the WMI system. |

You have been very careful, you cannot completely prevent water getting in over a long period but at least for a year or two , you are quite safe. What about putting a plastic cover over the top of the pump also?
