Jet sizes .... ?

A while ago I experimented with the difference in jet sizes between 0.4mm and 0.7mm. To my surprise I found that it took more or less exactly 7 minutes to shift 2 litres of water, regardless of the jet size! :?

I would have thought that the 0.7mm would have shifted the volume in about one third of the time of the 0.4mm one, but apparently not.

So, is the purpose of the jets just to reduce or increase the size of the droplets?

That`s strange.. The jet size should alter the volume of water delivered as long as the pump can keep up. You can dismantle the jets to check for blockages or maybe you have dirt in a the filters or check valves?.

This was done when the jets and other components were all quite new, really to establish which one was most suited. My surprising results made me put on the 0.4mm one, as the fineness of the vapour was all I could think of as a difference.
