Source for Methanol in Southern California
 

Anyone in So. Cali using Methanol with their WI? and if so where are you souring it from?

I checked the local parts store for windshield wiper solution, but no winter blends in "Sunland California" :lol:

I really do not want to spend $70 on a 5 gallon mail order drum if I do not have to.

Any suggestions?

Check for places that sell race fuel, fuel grade methanol should only cost you about $2.00/gal. Also the RC and model plane folks use methanol fuels, (most have small percentages of nitro, so look for a straight alcohol).

A few calls to the local drag strips will probably get you a couple leads. Here in Colorado you can buy it directly from the fuel outlet at the race track, just bring a 5 gallon can and they will sell it to you pumped into your container.
