Power button off on gauge & not dropping boost?

On the gauge on the HFS-3 if I press the power button turning off the power to the system I thought the car is supposed to drop boost? I have a mazdaspeed 3. DHB is linked on the controller. Verified all wiring and starting to wonder if I have a defective controller.

Pull the grey harness out and let me know if it drops boost.
