question about cables !
 

My question is about a few cables of the Grey Harness:

"Fuel injection IDC detection" ,

"Failsafe Relay contact (COM, Wiper)"

"Failsafe Relay contact (N/C contact) or DR"

"Failsafe Relay contact (N/O contact)"


Can you please give me detailed information about where these cables should be connected to? The car is a Lotus Exige GT3 powered by an audi engine 20vt. The ecu is an emerald.

Those are failsafe wires. It is up to the user to determine their usage.

1. IDC detection to the "pulsed" wire of the fuel injector

2. The other three wire are for "failsafe" functions. It is up to you how it is used. It is basically a set of "change-over" relay contacts.

1. Which one is the pulsed wire of the fuel injector? Our ecu controls every injector individually by connecting to earth each -12v pin of each injector. All 4 injectors use a common +12v line.

2. Can you please give me one example about where i should connect one of these fail safe wire?

The pulse wire is the one that does not connect to the common 12V.
