Hi there,

Im james and i have just got a 1S system. My car is a polo G40 1341cc thats running around 180bhp. The boost pressure is approx 11/12psi, so no need to change the manufacture settings of the boost switch. Also planning to run a 50/50 mix.

I have a few questions about water methanol and the kit,

I have read that there are a few places you can run it but the best is just after the intercooler to give it time to atomise properly, does this affect the aluminium intercooler if drops or water/methanol were to get into the intercooler?

Im not sure if the 1S came with different pumps but mine is a race pump @ 150psi iirc, and i need to know what size nozzle i need to use? A few friends with g40's run 2 nozzles that are 0.3mm, should i do something similar or run a 0.5 one? Im not planning on going post throttle so i dont need to worry about the 15psi checkvalve either.

A problem i can see with setting up for myself is the mounting of the nozzle, for those who are not aware of the G40 setup, is after the i/c its all hard plastic boost pipes, with 3 silicone pipes before the throttle body, can i mount the nozzle into that somehow or would it be better if i got a metal hose joiner and added it into the boost pipe? It would be approx 80cm before throttle body. Below is a pic of my bay, the throttle body pipe that goes through the rocker cover and charger has been removed so that now vents into atmosphere, the boost pipe im referring to is the one that is just above the "ladeluft gekuhlt", its 250mm in length, the pipe you can see thats silver is a hard plastic pipe.

Hope someone can point me in the right direction and give me some good advice.

Thanks.
