If you start off with even colder air, and then use WI it will be beneficial in a number of ways.

1. You will use less water, since peak combustion temperatures will be lower
2. You will get more power. Cooler intake air is more dense. (plus benefit of more reliability, with lower combustion temps)
3. You can turn up boost if using FI. If peak combustion temps are lower and still within acceptable range, more air and fuel can be introduced to bring combustion temps back up to a higher (but still acceptable) levels.
