I have just installed an Aquamist hfs-1 with a dds-3 gauge. I have some questions.
1. The flow sensor without a jet will peg the gauge, with a jet I get to three bars. Is this correct or adjustable? 2. What do the 'S' and 'B' mean at the two sides of the gauge. 3. I would like to be able to turn the entire system on and off with the gauge button. Is that possible? The button now appears to be only turning the gauge on and off, the hfs-1 continues to function(because of the ignition wire) Thanks, boxpin |

Answers to your questions:
1. You shoull adjust it to read about 5-6 bars. 2. "S" confrims the sesnor is OK. "B" off under boost = flow is outside failsagefe window "B" on under boost = flow is inside failsfafe window Those information is in the user manual. Which DDS3 version junction box do you have? The guage should switch off the entire system. If it doesn;t chaeck your wiring. What car do you have?

Its a 95 Volvo 850
There is a purple wire that connects to 12v ign from the hfs-1. That powers up the hfs-1. I must not have it connected right but I cannot make heads or tales of the wiring schematics. I used a meter to see if one of the left over ports on the DDS3 box put out 12v when the system was active so it could power the hfs-1 but it didnt. Its the V8 version. Pics attached. |

Do you have the user manual?
If not, here is link to it: http://www.aquamist.co.uk/forum/gall...FS-1web-sr.pdf Let me know if this helps. Richard

Thanks for the schematic but its still not helping.
I did adjust SC and now I am in the upper range of bars on the scale. Here is the problem now. Getting the system to shut off with the gauge button. The hfs-1 is stand alone right now. The system is triggered by manifold pressure and that runs the pump under the hood. The only wire that makes its way into the cab is a blue and a violet wire. One connects to a switched 12v and the other is not being used. So if the hfs-1 has power, it works. The gauge is connected to the DDS-3 box along with the flow sensor and float sensor. They all seem to work correctly. The only way I can see to get the system to shut off with the gauge button is for the DDS-3 box to give and take away power to the switched 12v. I dont see how that is going to happen the way its currently run. What are some other options? |

The only time the system should receive power into the DDS3 is at the pre-crank key position. Rewire the 12V power feed to the DDS3 junction box.

That is correct, I think I did not explain this very well. Seems the DDS-3 and the HFS-1 are stand along when it comes to triggers. Both have their own turn on trigger. The DDS-3 gets its power from the key switched source. The HFS-1 gets its trigger from a key switched source. I want the DDS-3 to supply the trigger for the HFS-1. How can i do that?

The HFS-1 is triggered by the DDS3v8 junction box. The +12V key switch merely supply the +12V power to the system. At pre-crank position please.
