i have a couple problems. 1.my pump seems to be on all the time even on idle i checked all fittings and it seems that the line in to the solenoid has some air leaking would this course the pump to stay on all the time 2.what boost pressure should i have it set too i have tried at 0.9 bar and then 0.7 an then 0.3 and this one seems the best i was told to set it just before misfiring ????? 3.what ratio of methanol should i run i think the jet is for 30 percent oh yes it is on a vauxhall astra coupe running 1.4 bar boost and then tapering off to 0.8 please help. |

what type of pump are you using?
We also could use a quick discription of how things are connected. Larry |

OK UPDATE
i rewired the system and found that the solenoid was keeping the system on i removed the solenoid and rewired the stuff so now the signal goes from battery to relay to pressure switch and then turns the pump on which makes the water spray. but i have a small problem when we dynoed the car it made less power than before could this have to do with the trigger switch activating at 0.3 bar and using 50/50 water methanol. oh yes its a shurflow pump. also my car has gotten some erratic boost problems since first installing the kit even with the whole water system disabled the car surges and is erratic on part throttle. i have a 2004 astra coupe turbo. any ideas |

Your discription sounds much like what a car does at part throttle when the air fuel mix is too lean. You might want to try a smaller jet to see if that helps, your loss of power, water injection will cost you power if you turn it on too soon or spray too much. It also will cost you power if the air fuel mix is too rich. Sounds like you have a couple issues to sort out. I'd fix the bad behavior with the WI shut off first, then take a look to see if your power is still down. Larry |
