I'm having problems with my 2D / DDS3 install - It's worked flawlessly for over a year, but now keeps blowing the 15A pump fuse
If I test the system by removing a wire from the Pressure switch then the pump appears to work fine, delivering an increasing flow of water, as Rpm is increased. If i then drive the car, as soon as the WI system is triggered it will blow the fuse. Any ideas as to what may be causing this, or what to test Richard |

If I replace the fuse with a 20AMP one, it doesn't blow.
How much current should the pump circuit draw? Thanks |

Is the pump getting hotter than you recall or any other symptom of increased load?
Have you changed your wiring lately so some other circuit might be loading that line, or have a loose ground etc.? Is your system voltage normal or could your battery voltage be down a bit causing the pump to pull more current to meet its needs? Might want to try cleaning your battery posts and doing a general health check on the wiring to check for high resistance shorts and or bad connections. Larry |
