Hi I have an Aquamist 2C System that ive fitted to my car but i have a query regarding jet placement and if it would be better using two smaller jets instead of one.
My Car is a Ford Focus 2ltr with a powerworks supercharger. The supercharger looks as follows ![]() ![]() I want to fit the jet(s) in the upper half of the housing(after the join in the picture above) as below there is a charge cooler that will get in the way. ![]() (I was looking to place the jet(s) will be placed in the wall at the top of the screen) This is a picture of inside the upper half of the supercharger housing. As there is little space I was wondering if i should fit two smaller jets effectively feeding two cylinders each instead of one and hoping that the spray Patten will be wide enough to cover all four. Also im assuming the HSV in my kit will need an Diode to stop the back emf from getting to my ECU (omex 600) Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Trev |

yes, the two nozzles (one for each cyl pair) sound good, I too would go for the most symmetrical approach.
Just make sure that no cylinder is favoured, i.e. you don't want to inject right in front of any of them, aim for the middle. |

Thanks for the reply JohnA
Im guessing i just have the line go into the High Speed Valve and then just T off to both jets. ![]() How would i work out what size jets i will need for a dual setup? I only want to spray when my ACTS get too high. Ill be running 62lb injectors, on 97ron, 10:1 CR, at 15~16psi. The BHP should be somewhere around 300bhp. Also ive seen some cool clips for the HSV's ![]() Can you buy these direct from aquamist at all do you know? Thanks again Trev |

Check out their page, it's got a few Y, L and T pieces for the high-pressure hose, all push-fit.

![]() ![]() Well I got it all wired up over the last few days, Since the pic ive added a second relay next to the aquamist one to supply to the power to the HSV. I ran it up and all works well when you ground the brown wire on the HSV. Ive just got to get the .4mm jets next. Then in Feb when my engine is beeing rebuilt the system will be mapped on my omex 600 ecu. Thanks again Trev |

Will do
At the moment its running 246bhp 227ftlb, that?s before the rebuild where the water injection will be installed to the blower and mapped (and the engine gearbox completely rebuilt). Ive just dropped a diode across the hsv to stop back emf from getting to me ecu. Could you please tell me if this is ok to run through my pump? http://www.holtsauto.com/products/111.htm If you click the MSDS button it says its got [edit] link does not point to the right page, and i cant get it to for some reason. anyway its Holts Screenwash[/edit] METHANOL 5-10% PROPAN-2-OL 10-30% I heard the methanol can attack alloy but is such low concentrations (10 to 1) surely it cant do that much harm can it Some pics from the Performance ford photo shoot of what the car looks like ![]() ![]() |
