Default Eaton blowers and their teflon coating

I've heard some internet rumors that at a 50/50 mix of water and methanol that it will eat away at the teflon coating on the eaton blowers, is this true or not.

Eaton blowers come stock on the 03-04 Cobra's and 98-2004 Lightnings.
I heard the 98-99 Lightnings had problems with the eaton blowers failing but since their design change does anyone know of any failures that were blamed on water/methanol injection.

Thanks
Michael Plummer
