L200 2.5 Commonrail
I have a modified mitsubishi L200/Triton 2.5 Commonrail turbo (bigger turbo, intercooler, injectors, remap ...). I`ve been using the HFS-3 kit in MPS mode SSG for sometime now as PWM doesn`t seem to work properly with common rail direct injection. System is used with water to keep EGT under control.
I would like to know if it`s possible to use MPS in progressive mode. If yes, do i need to modify the circuit board? Thanks Ash3355 |

Re: L200 2.5 Commonrail
Which HFS3 do you have, v2?

Re: L200 2.5 Commonrail
It`s the HFS3-V2KC.

Re: L200 2.5 Commonrail
You have two options, but you need to solder, are you OK with that?

Yes, no problem.

Re: L200 2.5 Commonrail
Try this option first
Circuit board underside modifications 1. cut off the PWM (-) link 2. solder link PWM (+) pads 3. cut off x1 link 4. Solder link x2.5 pads Wiring changes: 5. disconnect green wire of the grey harness from injector (-) 6. Connect yellow wire of grey harness to the injector (+) Let me know how you get on.

Re: L200 2.5 Commonrail
Just tried it. During acceleration, the system start to inject at around 2500rpm then stops at 3200rpm then starts again at 3800rpm up to max rpm. Do you think it might have something to do with the pilot injection cutting at around 3200rpm? The H3 controller might be seeing lower pulse although the rpm is still increasing. I had the same problem several month ago when trying to use the DI green harness.
Is there a way to make it progessive with the 0-5volts MAP sensor signal instead? Thanks |

Re: L200 2.5 Commonrail
This is interesting.
I like to stay at this option for a bit longer if you can be patient with me. I can certainly make the H3 obey boost only. Please run this test for me so we know what the HFS3 is seeing via the yellow wire: Put red DVM probe to test point 16 Black probe to gng (bottom left of the test points) 0-5V = 0-100% DC Please tell me the voltage readings at: 1. idle 2. Cruise 3. Acceleration 4. WOT Let me know if at any point the voltage drops, especially ~3200 to 3800rpm. If you want to use MAP sensor only. Cut PWM on the underside of the circuit board. Solder link MPS. The H3 will follow 0-5V MPS signal fully - no IDC input... You will of course need to trigger the system via MPS. jumper link.

Re: L200 2.5 Commonrail
Good morning Richard will this also work for my 1VDFTV Land Cruiser Toyota Diesel? Thanks!
