I agree that the tornado only presents a restriction to create the turbulent air flow - but in most systems it would not be the highest restriction in the induction. Generally I would refer to them as junk, but at the same time I respect brad's knowledge in that if they improve water injection mixture uniformity lacking another method they do work. I would seek another method though if possible, which you have found. 80% of my responses will generally include things for others that are reading rather than directly to the original post. This is one of those items since you have a preferable solution.
