HFS-v3 - Failsafe to Ground
Hello All,
Just looking for some clarity and make sure i'm on the right path. I'm using the HFSv3 and have been for the better part of 10 years. I'm now looking at using the failsafe in conjunstion with my boost controller. In a normal situation i would use the wiring as described to control the BCV but i'm using an HKS EVC6 that uses a stepper motor. From my understanding, if i take the white wire from the ECU plug and connect that to a relay, when the system is "off", "not active" or in failure the wire wire will output a ground signal? provided i have the Jumper set to FS0. this will allow me to use a MAC Valve intline on the top hose of my External wastegate. When active it wont allow air to pass to the top of the wastegate and when not active it will allow the car to boost as normal. My main question is. 1. Is it the White wire 2. FS0 is the correct jumper to be set 3. It will only output a ground when "off" or in failure. Thanks! |
