Just been on the rolling road and Im looking for a bit of advice really. I made 250bhp from a calibra turbo engine at 1.2 bar of boost, the same engine last year made 290BHP at 1 bar so Ive lost some 40BHP. Ive upgraded the fuel system since the last time but the fuelling seems fine, 12:1 tapering down to 11.5:1 at the limiter. I put a bigger water nozzle in to help when I turned the boost from 1.0 to 1.2 bar and I think Im injecting way too much. The power starts to drop of at around 5k where last year it pulled hard to 7k and my theorey is that ive slowed the burn down too much with my water/methanol injection and need to try smaller jets, does this sound right to you people? Im using a 0.9mm jet now on the 2D system, fuel injectors are 4x470CC. From memory it was the 0.7mm jet I used last time. using 75%W/25%M

Graphs are below, 1st is power/torque at the flywheel, second is AFR/boost and power is at the wheels:

Luke,

It may be worth running a bit leaner while W.I. is operational - tweek it a bit an see if it makes a difference.
But first make sure that the water mist is equally distributed among the cylinders under pressure. Otherwise you risk a couple of cylinders getting all the water and the rest running 'dry'.

Also how good is your intercooling? Is there a good flow path for the air to go through the intercooler core in the Corsa engine bay?

Luke, from what little I know, I'll say that 0.9mm is far too big a jet for that kind of power and boost! Our cars are not too far apart and I'm running 15.4psi boost for 281bhp/302lbft with Emerald and also using 75w/25m mixture.

I'm using a 0.5mm jet set to activate at 1bar with 440cc injectors.

I'd play around with smaller jets.

It might also be worth experimenting with two nozzles: Say a 0.4mm before the compressor and 0.5 facing the throttle.
That's what had given me the highest horsepower on the LET.
