I have a Performancebox from Racelogic that estimates power based on stated weight and rate of accelleration. I made some runs with and without the water methanol running and with different fuel settings to see what difference it made. I took the measurements on a fairly flat road in both dirrections and took an average of the two. So far I got the following results :
0.7mm + 0.4mm (50:50 water:methanol)
lower fueling setting, 190-210bhp
+11.9% with water/methanol running
higher fueling 210-230bhp
+5% with water/methanol running
I've increased to a 1mm + 0.4mm and I am going to try again but I was very suprised by the results. The box estimates almost 20bhp extra at the road wheel on the lower fueling setting. You can see the spec on the box I'm using here...
