Hello all,

I've been wondering what is the max water/meth ratio you guys have been able to spray before it starts to loose power

The reason i'm wondering this is cause I accidentaly sprayed much more watermeth (50:50) than I though it was set up for and has been able to gain better timing.

So I'm actualy spraying 31% of 50:50 water/meth mix and it looks I have room for more.
what would be downside of spraying even more ? Could I spray as much as I want until I reach the point it missfire ?

for reference : I use ATM an HFS-3 with a 1mm jet . Engine is 1348cc Turbo with 360cc fuel injector

It would be interesting how much more watermeth you can add before it blows out the spark.

Some zones in the engine map I have and do use up to 60% when running WM50.

My own design CDI/Coil on plug system though. On inductive much less than that.

That's a very interesting subject indeed.

I went up to 80% WM50 (standard toyota distributor with NGK iridium grade 8 plugs)
without having any missfire.

There is a diesel Navarra YD25 now running 22 gph 1387.98cc/m. No progressive control, just on/off boost switch

You can check out his math (link to another water meth forum)

I am using 2 gph or 126 cc/m in a 650cc engine. Can't find anything about my injector size though, so I can't show the math or percentage.

This is very interesting. How many nozzles are you now using and the sizes? (for the 85%)

Have you changed fuel flow or ignition timng?

the reason why I was spraying 80% by mistake is cause I accidentaly had the unit working as single stage while I though it was progressive. yes I did a fuel map and changed ignition timing. From what I have been dataloging. the system performed at its best when it was injecting 60% WM50. so this is my next plan
I will try to install 3 jets now
1 pre turbo (0.4mm)
1 after IC (1mm)
1 before throttle (0.6mm)

I have posted regarding preturbo jet location : http://www.aquamist.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=251&page=42

can you do some before and after data logging?

I'm not sure I get what you mean here ?
you mean dataloging before and after changes ?

I was trying to see the differen from the logged data with and without water. From there, I should be able to see how mch ignition gain and how lean you can run with water injection.

here is what I have
direct ignition difference (without compare to WI)

http://i394.photobucket.com/albums/pp24/zakshaker/D2%20RACING/purple_octane-1.gif

cell raw"P17" column"N09" is where it was 60% WM50

Since then petrol quality went down in Mauritius (it was alread bad, but it went worse 4 weeks ago) so my new map is very diferent.
I will be able to compare from single jet to 3 jets on my next mappings . the car is a TOYOTA for maintenance ATM, they will fit new jet as soon as I tell them where to fit.

I might still have datalogs maps from my previous EMS (which was an emanage ultimate), I now use a PFC

Thanks for the chart, it will be great to compare when you start using pre-turbo injection.
