HELLO RICHARD,

OUR HFS3 IS FOR RALLY USE, I HAVE 420CC INJECTORS, WHICH JET (1 OR 2?) AND RESTRICTOR DO I NEED TO USE?
WHICH SIGNAL IS BEST TO USE, IDC OR MAP SENSOR, OR BOTH?
CAN WE USE THE WATERINJECTION ONLY ON THE SPECIAL STAGES, OR DOES IT ONLY WORK CONSTANTLY? TO BE AWARE IF MAPPING WILL WORK BOTH WAYS?

Are you using 100% water?

100% water ....................10-15% to fuel flow
M50/W50 ...................... 15-20% to fuel flow
100% methanol...................... 20-25% to fuel flow

Once you have selected the jet, then pick the restrictor. All these information should be in the user manual.

You can run water injection constantly if you are based on IDC.

I will explane better maybe. We would take 50M-50W mixture.
We think it would be better to use 2 jets. But if we do, which jets do I need to use? 2 similar or 1 big and 1 small??
And because it is rally use, I don't need to have it working constantly.
I'm afraid if it works constantly, the water will be gone before I can refill on the assistance zone.

Sorry, I must have missed this post.

In most cases. one jet will be enough for your application. What is the fuel injector size on your car. For a simple estimation, 1-1.5cc per hp is a good start.

If your car is ~200 hp, you should go for one 0.6 or one 0.8mm jet. There is some information on the user manual regarding this, page 8.

Thank you, in the manual the wiring on page 7, map sensor is mentioned as optional, why optional??

The MAP sensor input is only accounted for 30% influency on the total flow. If you want to activate this option, you need to solder link the pads on the underside of the circuity board.

This input channel reads 0-5V, originally designed for reading the fuel rail pressure of a direct injection engine. Since 4x the pressure range only yields twice the flow range, so the channel only add 30% of the final flow.

There are occasions where user wants to put addition flow during boost ramp, so they use this input to read the signal from the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor. Once the HFS-3 can read manifold pressure, the system can either be triggered by idc or boost pressure.
