Pre-turbo injection Blow thru carb

New here:). I am thinking of putting water injection on my blow thru holden 202 torana. I was wondering if pre-turbo injection is gonna effect the fuel in the bowls? As my vent tubes have extensions on them facing the incoming air, whether with water injection the water will enter the fuel bowls? Thanks

Interesting question, can I assume "fuel bowl" is a part of the carb?

Yeah the bowls are where the fuel supply is in the carb, like a fuel rail is for injection:). Just dont know how much water would enter the bowls under boost.

1. Is the moving air stream in direct contact with the bowl?
2. How does the air draw fuel from the bowl?
3. Does the bowl have a higher pressure than the air flow chamber?

I am trying to figure this out by reasoning.

The vent tubes are in direct line with incoming air. By facing the vent tubes into the incoming air it richens the carb up. The pressure in the bowls would be the same as the incoming air, it has to be to deliver fuel through the venturies. Just all depends on how much water would actually enter the bowls and have an effect on the fuel in them.

The fuel can only go one way if there is air flow in the right direction due to the venturi effect, ie no water can flow into the bowl. This applies from idle to flow load.

The only time water can enter the bowl is when the engine stops. Does this sound logical to you?
