Hi,

I am look for some advise before buying a system.

I have a Honda K20a2 engine with 11.1:1 compression & 8300rpm redline. It is currently in the final stages of having a intercooled Rotrex C30-94 supercharger installed, which will run between 11-13psi. I am looking at running water injection just as safety device to give a little more headroom before knock occurs, not to add any power. The car is used as a daily driver and on track days.

Any advise would help! Especially which kit to use.

I was thinking of just distilled water and not using methanol (except in the winter to keep it from freezing).

Thanks

The HFS2 will do the job nicely. If you want to see the flow in real time via a dash gauge, you need to go to the HFS3.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I would like a gauge just to see what's going on!

For winter use would the screenwash below be ok to use?

Polygard Concentrated Screen Wash 25L - MIS18215

I don't quite trust their specs on 10-30% methanol. Methanol is widely available in the UK, why take risk of the system sustaining freezing damage in cold winter.

Ah, yea just had a look for Methanol. Cheaper than I expected!

Do you mix it with distilled or deionised water?

Thanks
Adi

normally d-min or the other two. D-min is perfectly fine.

Is it possible with the HFS-3 to use my Hondata KPro to arm the system? Kpro can be set to tigger an output when a specific set of conditions are met. And then use the IDC to make the system progressive?

The options in KPro: (this triggers an output)

It is possible to connect the Kpro to the HFS3's mps input (blue wire of the grey connector), move the jumper link to MPS.

The Kpro must output a 5V signal to trigger the system. Once triggered, the flow will be progressive to IDC. The "THRES" still controls the onset point of IDC. I believe this is how it will work in theory.
