Hello guys, I am new here. I own a Volvo S40 MY01.
I thought I would start my posts here with some installation pictures of the kit on my car. I don't know if anyone posted installation on Volvo S40 before, but any way I hope its helpfull to all. And if you have any questions I would be more than glad to answer.

But be carefull the pump is very heavy and caused my drivebelt cover to snap twice. So what I did is reinforce this is how it looks now:

Hi ZAF,

I'm not familiar with your engine.
It seemed that you upgraded the intercooler? In the pictures, 2 of them are with plastic end tank & the 1st is alumininum (& bigger).

Is the jet on upstream or downstream of the IC? How does this system affect the performance?

One more question, what is that insert which the jet is fixed on? A short metal tube?

Ok here is a brief about my car:
The car is a 2001 S40 2.0T with 5 speed automatic. The engine is 1948cc with Mitsu TD04L-12T with light pressure turbo setting, max boost 8.7psi (0.6bar).
The modification done to the car:
1- Larger intercooler (The alu one)
2- K&N drop in airfilter
3- ERL aquamist water injection 1s
4- Mistu TD04L-14T twin scrole
5- 3" Downpipe with metal core race cat.
6- 2.75" cat- back exhaust with 70x2 mm tail pipe.
7- Bosch FR6DC spark plugs
8- TME sport springs
9- TME front strut tower brace
10- KONI yellow adjustable
11- TME ECU reflash.

The connecting piece you were talking about is rubber, since the STOCK rubber was not drillable and had to replace it with something that i can drill to fit the jet. The jet is spraying to the intake.
Well the water injection does work in helping the car breath in cooler air. The S40 is very sensitive to weather changes, hot weathers just kill its performance. The bigger IC Plus the WI really have an impact on performance. Acceleration is much happier with WI working..
