What temp does 91 octane ignite at or does it need an open flame?
If fuel is injected before a compressor wont bad things happen.

Ignition of fuel vapors in air is very hard to define, it is strongly effected by the conditions of the sample, ie the size of the volume, the shape and construction of the container and the nature of the heat source.

Ignition of vapors is much more difficult with general heating vs a small concentrated heat source like a spark, flame or hot surface.

The minimum ignition temperature of methanol in air is 725 deg F, ethanol is 689 deg F, and gasoline is 824 deg F.

I acctually build a motor long time back using turbocharger off the disel engine.
I had carburator before the turbocharger. All worked great but you cannot have intercooler as it will separate fuel. However this set up makes the motor run very smooth under light to heawy load due to good fuel atomazation in compressor and even distribution. There is also no need for blow off valve. I belive this is a great set up and WI system will work wonders on it.

ford put the carb before the turbo and it worked grate, WI on a setup like this will just kill it like some one said up there^^^^
