Hi guys, I was referred here by a friend and there's a ton of great info. I am in the Air Force stationed in Germany and methanol comes in 30 liter drums. I don't think I need that much with only a year left here. What are some alternatives. We have HEET on base and I can get some stuff called Brennspiritus (denatured alcohol). Other than that I don't know what to mix with the distilled water other than buying a large quantity of methanol here. Can someone who knows recommend what to buy and if you know where to buy it? Worse comes to worse I will buy methanol, but if there's an alternative to using it I would like to know. Thanks. Chris

Ok, I found a place in Germany that offers methanol to non-businesses (individuals). I got my 20L jug within a week. www.spiritonline.de is where I got mine. I talked to some local tuner guys here in Kaiserslautern and they hooked me up with this distributor in Koln or someplace like that. Due to strict polution control you have to give them a photocopy or scan of your passport. I think this also may have something to do with terrorists??? Anyway, the methanol works great with distilled water. I am using a 50/50 mix.
