HFS-3v2 wiring diagram Mazdaspeed 3

Hey i have a quick question about wiring up a v2 on my mazdaspeed 3. i have the diagram for the v1, but i need to know what to do with the extra di specific wire on the v2.

Just uploaded this one (gen1)... Let me know if it works with the v2 board. If you have the serial number, I can check.

Re: HFS-3v2 wiring diagram Mazdaspeed 3

the only problem i have with that is i think it's for the hfs-3v3. i don't have the user harnes for the idc sense and i don't see it mentioned anywhere in my user manual either. Now if i look at the hfs-3v3 w/ the red control board that would make sense as it has the idc sense user harness brought down from the hsf-4. the harness i have is just the the v1 hfs-3 only it has an extra yellow wire for di injector input.

i'll get the serial number for the box later tonight

I will post it up. I did it just in case you might have a v3 board.

If you have black circuit board (v2) without a green harness, it must be an earlier version. The DI decoder was still under development. You can return the circuit board to me for an upgrade to a later version of the v2.

The earlier version of the HFS3v2 is on beta test for the first few hundred or so. The green harness were supplied on request basis, help us keeping track on the progress on the DI specific applications. I believe 90% of the DI car had good results. The MS3 was a tricky one to solve at the time. Did you buy the your HFS3v2 from new specifically for the MS3?

a serial number will enable me to confirm if the unit is on the latest batch of DI equipped version.

23rd October 2010 . Manufacture date.

It will work with most DI but for the MS3, it is better to send to back to me for upgrade. No charge, just pay return shipping The last update was on November 2011.

Hi Richard,

I'm getting ready to install the control box from the hfs-3 into my 2007 mazdaspeed 3. After reading this thread can you confirm I have the correct unit for my car? I just bought this from howerton. Thanks, Rick

Serial #: 102485

Yes, your HFS3 will work with the MS3. Check your S/N again.
