The H4 controller has been updated (see serial number). It is no longer necessary to perform one of the under-board modification any more, see old diagram.

For those who has the older version, please contact me for exchange of configuration upgrade. No charge.

Hi Richard,
I came here from the Mazda Speed forums;
I own a 2006 MS6 GT. I am in Houston Texas and want to purchase a kit for this car; it does not have major mods, that is a, SRI, a high flow cat, a balance shaft delete and the Hyper tech tune.
What exactly I need to purchase;
Regards;

Re: Mazdaspeed 6 (update) SN #12091 onwards

As far as the water injection system is concerned, you just need a water tank. The HFS-4 has everything for your car.

What is your plan on tuning and power at present?

I plan to stay as it is at this point; but we do have long hot hummid summers here; thus far let just said I like to keep things clean and cool internally in this car; it has 29K, so the engine still petty tight allthoug I don't granny the car when I by myself,
Thanks,
ss

Re: Mazdaspeed 6 (update) SN #12091 onwards

The system probably quite suitable for your application. It will mirror the fuel flow at any ratio. The consumption is quite low if you just want to keep things cool and minimise carbon build up on the inlet valve.

The system gives excellent atomisation from low to high flow due to its constant line pressure design. The dynamic range is very wide.

Aqua mist HFS-2 Injection System
Can I run this system on my ms6; I want to go with something solid and upgrade later; if I can list the size nozzle and the tap tool I need; I plan to just run my own tank (windshield washer tank) for now and do away with a truck set up in the near.

Re: Mazdaspeed 6 (update) SN #12091 onwards

You can certainly run HFS-2 on your car, injection is based on IDC only or 70% IDC/30% manifold pressure.

You need a 1/8NPT tap and a few drop of loctite for the nozzle adaptor.

OK,
What will be the best way to order; if I can get a link for best results.

Re: Mazdaspeed 6 (update: 8th July 2012 ) SN #12091 onwards

Hi Richard,
I recently bought HFS4. Electric men installed me as WIRING DIAGRAM MS6 v4. And then my boost stay lower than it was. And I understood that my boost control brains of HFS4. Set jets which was included 0.7 mm.
when we are working on 100% IDC + gain MAX then red LED turns around 4000 rpm. and the boost is reduced to 0.8 bar
it means that jets too small for my configuration.

but when I turn on the 100% boost then red LED does not light up. But still, my car is going slower than before the installation HFS4. HFS4 brains cut off boost by themselves .
WHY???

tell me which way to IDC, or boost? I bought this WMI HFS due just this working by IDC.

power of the car before installation was 320 hp now its about 270-300hp.

my modes:
FMIC, CAI, full exhaust 3'' + versatuner

I plan to get 350 hp

thanks

Thanks for the update. One more question, how many 0.7mm jets are you running?

It appeared you are injecting too much, putting out the spark or burn rate is slow. I

It is interesting a 0.7mm jet will affect your engine so much. Can you try running 80% methanol. This test will identify if the previous 50/50 was loading the ignition system.

Where is your jet installed?

my jet install about 25-30 cm in pipe before throttle.
Ok, I try 80% methanol and what I must to see on dash?

How far is the exit of the intercooler to the throttle?

If you are not getting good even distribution to the cylinders, it could cause poor bad burn on one of the cylinders. Is it possible to move the jet further away from the throttle?

do you think this is due to poor spray water methanol mix?
I watch the knock retard and it is not.

Hi @Richard L;

I Just purchased an aqumist kit for my MS6 and its beautiful so far. I do have a few questions/concerns. Would you be able to update the drawing to include the "user" port wiring. I noticed that it has it for the MS3 but not the MS6. Also the underside of the board is a bit different than the one you have posted. I have the v3.1 so im not sure if this has changed atall. I followed the book as far as setting the Jumpers for a DI motor.

Thanks

I will work on this this weekend, Wiring will remain the same.

You need the x2.5 jumper configuration.

Update is up, sorry for the delay.

The V3.1 is configured for a 3.5 bar MAP sensor from factory. So no mods.

Hi Richard,

Got everything installed and went to test the system today. Ran into and issue where when I first plug in the trunk the gauge will stay on for 10 seconds or less then I can hear a click inside I'd the controller and then the gauge shuts off.

Any ideas? Thank.

looks like the one of the following:

- tank sensor is installed upside down,
- no water in the tank
