install on an Evo 8MR
been slowly doing this install over the last week. And to see it work properly the first time go... I am very happy. Thanks to Richard for his hard work with diagrams and instructions, which resulted in everything working like they should.
Anyway I will put up some install pictures for now, text and my comments later :) Pump in the wheel well (hope it does not effect it seeing its upside down) http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...n/IMG_4260.jpg the 6QRT tank, mounted on the right side. I am using a bracket to hold it in place. the washer bottle is a pain to get to with the carpet installed. http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...n/IMG_4261.jpg I routed the supply line to the FAV underneath the car, there are a few places that were tricky and I might re do them when i get the car onto a hoist. but basically running next to the fuel and brakes lines http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...n/IMG_4263.jpg the picture of the FAV, it can also be seen from the front of the car. anyway there is a big support beam under the airbox, on one side the boost solenoids are.. this is on the underside of the beam. I taped some holes and bolted the FAV there http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...n/IMG_4264.jpg this is the upper IC pipe jet, surprising the IC pipe is quite thick, and will hold the npt fitting. i used Loctite Red to ensure that its sealed properly. http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...n/IMG_4262.jpg this is the jet right after the IC. http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...n/IMG_4267.jpg |
