Default Audi S4 B5 and W/I

I?m in a state that has 91 oct as its max at the pump and I want to use W/I to combat the IAT and heat soak.

Some background info:

Audi S4 w/

K04/RS6 turbo @18-19psi
42lbs inj @ 4.9bar
Stock IC
Max power 600chp

Some logs w/ stock IC @ 18-19 psi

I want to use Water only and lower just the IAT, my goal is not to retard the fame front.

My plan is to us the W/I as a safety zone, I am planning on running an AFR of about 11.3-11.5:1 w/o W/I.

Questions:

Where would be the best place to install each W/I injector. Before the IC, 12-16? before the TB, or 2-3? before the TB?

What size injectors do i need and how do i calculate this?

Thanks

The best place for inlet tract cooling is just after the exit of the intercooler. This will allow water and air to be mixed to assist early cooling. It will also help better even cylinder distribution (smaller droplet after evaporation).

To minimise frame front retard:
1) Run between 10-15% of water to fuel.
2) Add 20-25% of methanol, it will recover some frame speed.
3) If knock is reduced, EMS should be able to advance ignition timing to compensate slower burn.

I just got done tuning a b5 a4 1.8t with a big turbo on it. The whole time we were tuning and logging, I was wishing the owner had WAI equipped. If you can get the ecu to stop pulling timing you will pickup a LOT of power, from the looks of it, you are pulling 10+ degrees of timing.

I know a lot of audi tuners try to run them lean, but given the amount of timing that is being pulled, running high 10's low 11's on pump gas only would be a better bet, then lean it out under WAI.

Do you have any means of tuning the ecu or are you still on the stock one?
