Re: HFS-4 Q&A, application for your engine...
i won't be running more than 30psi peak boost so the 3-bar MAP sensor configuration would be fine on my current circuit board. but what 3-bar MAP sensor is available for adaption to my application 08 wrx? i know the AEM comes in 3.5 and 5 but not 2 or 3. omni power is the only other MAP sensor i know of but the scaling required has never seemed to jive well and produces inaccurate readings. is there another option to prevent having to send my board in?

Re: HFS-4 Q&A, application for your engine...
Alternatively, You can send your current controller to Jeff howerton (paying both shipping), he may have a V1.1 cirucit board at hand. Just change them over. All future controller will be 2.5/3.5 bar equipped.
It is only a minor modification on the circuit board.

Re: HFS-4 Q&A, application for your engine...
ok, i sent Jeff an email querying if he indeed has a v1.1 circuit board available and if he could assist. ideally, i'd like to run my AEM 3.5bar MAP sensor and not the omni 2 or 3 so hopefully this works out!

Re: HFS-4 Q&A, application for your engine...
Just wanted to let you all know that Richard is an amazing guy!
I've bought a BRAND NEW HFS-5 system 2-3 years ago from someone who sold it on Ebay, it was the old version (V8 when the new HFS-5 came with the V10 board)... so clearly there was no warranty. I've installed it and had some problem with the valve and the flow sensor (before I could even enjoy it once), I then called Richard (for the first time) and he helped me a lot! he fixed the valve for free (I couldn't get new one since they ran out of stock, it was the old version valve, as I said before, it was the old version system) and replaced the flow sensor for symbolic price. I'm going to upgrade my 1000WHP STi with the new HFS-4 just because it's Richards product, and I know I can count on his stuff and on him. Bump for an amazing guy! just wanted to let all of you who think if to go with Aquamist or with the other stuff that can be found out there, don't hesitate and go with the major league. Re: HFS-4 Q&A, application for your engine...
First of all, disconnect all plugs from the controller.
1. A small pin should be able to pick off the thin track. 2. Deposit solder on both pads first. 3. Add more solder to join the two pads.
