Default How much more timing advance???

Hey guys,

I have a 95 GTI VR6T making 273whp.

I believe I'm running about 15-16 degrees total ignition advance and the car is running great, but any further advance in timing will create some pinging.

Just wondering if there is a rule of thumb for ignition advance increasement with the WI.

How much further are most people able to advance timing after the WI installation?

Thanks,
Vic

hmmm, maybe try adding another nozzle, or upping the pressure? Im not sure of your current system setup, so these would just be general guides.
Do you have another form of intercooler? Im in australia so I dont get to see alot of vr6t's!

I run water injection only atm, on a 1.8l turbo nissan. I have managed 14 degrees with up to 20p.s.i and no ping....yet! I could sure do with some advance, so i am looking at adding a secondary nozzle
