Datalogging HFS3v3
Hello forum.
I have a question regarding HFS-3 How can i get data log of 0 to 5 Volt? FIA2 Aquamist has a purple wire with voltage signal 0-100% http://sasacom.users.photofile.ru/ph.../212792046.jpg Second question: Can i get 30 pin scheme (each pin purpose) Are there any useful pins for data logging and data graph (i marked these pins with green on the photo)? http://sasacom.users.photofile.ru/ph.../212792025.jpg Thanks |

Here are some useful pins for data logging:
#5 ........... System start-up: 12V = system on. #6 ........... Flow sensor signal: 0.5 to 4.5V #7 ........... Water level sensor: 0v= empty, 5v= not empty #8 ........... Fuel injector (-). not direct injection. #16 ......... IDC% signal: 0 to 5V #17 ......... MPS signal: 0 to 5V (signal conditioned) #18 ......... IDC% to the water injection valve #23 ......... System power: 12V (switched/fused) |

Those pins are not static-protected so I rather use them as intended for remote diagnostic usage. They exist for the benefit for us and customer without working knowledge of our system but equipped with a simple $10 digital voltmeter.
It has been extremely useful since it was introduced. For more knowledgeable users, all they need to do is ask here. |

Richard L at 402 meters there is no time to consider devices.
Everything that happens with the engine we look at dataloge after racing. |

This option is for HFS4 only.
1. You can connect the Black wire to the blue wire of the green harness. 2. Upon the EGT voltage exceeds the AUXFX trimmer setting, it can either turn on the Water tank level led (W) or trip the failsafe to drop boost (F). You can do both at the same time if you solder link them. Can you post the Voltage vs EGT Temperature chart here? |

there are 6 wires in the green harness: Not shown on the drawing.
1. red ............. DI (+) 2. green .......... DI (-) 3. blue ............ Aux Failsafe 4. Yellow ......... Flow sensor signal (analogue) 5. White .......... Flow sensor raw pulses 6. Black .......... Signal ground Here is a diagram: EGT ........... 800C = ~2.6V (just above mid point on the AUXFS trimmer. |

Just looked at the PLX-EGT sendor module , very set up. I will recommend this in the future. thanks for the link.

The white wire of the green harness is not amongst the test points.
On the last page but one of the user manual, all pin out from the controller is described. |

How many channles on new model AUX? If there are 3 ( IAT EGT A/F) of them, then how to control them? There is only one AUXFX trimmer. Should be 3 too? |

These is only one but can be used for anyone of named sensors. IAT is inverted.

#30 .......... system status (signal level). 0v =off 3V=standby 8V=triggered.

I can only log 0-5v source. Any alternative? I just want to log when WI starts.

When you can log 0-5V, 8V will be read as 5V (clipping by your logger)
Your log will look as: 0, 3V and 5V. |

I don't quite see the point of data logging the status of the aquamist, the data is pretty static, once triggered. It woild be more useful to log the water flow (via the yellow wire of the user port). It is a 0-5 signal.
