Default Re: Is a cooler spark plug required after WI fitted

Stock plugs are range 6, I was getting sooty deposits on them with no knock and good AFRs so I went for a cooler plug.

I will keep an eye on the tips for deposits not burning off on the current plugs and will get the EGT gauge in. I am more worried about the tips getting to cold and losing spark quality while setting up with the spray, i dont want to remove fuel if poor combustion is affecting my AFRs.

Did you have to change heat ratings to/from stock when you added the spray?
