Have a 2d system that I installed in July 2006 into an 06 STI. About 2 months ago the pump failed and I purchased a Shurflo pump to replace it with. The original pump was the older style 100psi type. I wired in the new pump and now get a pump activation light, a fault light , and the pump does not run. However when I bridge the system pressure switch the pump will run (continuously) but I get no activation light. I thought I may have a faulty pressure switch but when I replaced it I still had the same problem. I'm using a standard 40amp relay for the pump but need to see if there is a wiring diagram or other similar info to get this working properly. I have a diagram to wire the Shurflo into the newer type 2d system but could not find anything for my system. As I've already mentioned this has been on going for 2 months now and I'm frustrated and at my wits end. Any input appreciated.

The aquamist pump activates on a normaly closed circut. you wired the pump as if it was normaly open circut. You have to get a HOBB switch and take out the pressure switch that came with the kit to get it to work. Hob switches are cheap and run on a normaly open circut. That should solve it for you! Good luck!
Heres a link to the switch: http://www.keenzo.com/showproduct.as...1272353&ref=GB PS. ^^^ Make sure you get the correct PSI window 12-30 or so...
