Default Pre-Compressor spray 2.1l Twin screw SC

Good Evening,

im a rookie when it comes to the principles of water injection. However, i would like to spray my Kenne Bell twin screw, pre compressor, for two reasons: keep overall compressor temp down, with the hopeful side effect of keeping the air temp lower as it exists the compressor and enters the heads.

Looking for highs and lows of pre-compressor spraying and pre throttle body? or post TB?

I don't know if pre TB would be feasible as it may interfere with the MAF?

All advice accepted.

Thanks in advance.

William

pre-compressor is good for reducing SC case temperature but not so good in winter if water is allow to freeze and damage the rotors. Just make sure water injection is disabled until the engine is warmed up.

Pre-TB is better so the vacuum does not siphon the water out of the delivery hose so the next injection event is delayed.

What kind of MAF is it, hot wire or hot film? It is better to avoid it if possible.

Water won't affect it as much as the hot wire type. Try it short term.
