Hello!
I am from a small country called Estonia. So i ordered myself a aquamist HFS-3 kit. I am planning to install it on my E61 535d. Right now its tuned to max with stock turbos and everything. Next logical step in my mind was water/meth kit. I have a few questions about it. How is the injection going to be controlled? I understood that there is a possibilite to control it via fuel railpressure. It should work then with railpressure sensor? What wires i do have to connect there then? I have looked at HFS-3 diagrams, but still a bit confused. I would be very thankful if someone could draw a simple diagram etc. Also, how or from where i should setup failsafe? And what size nozzels i should use, and 2 nozzels or install 3? Best regards, Kert |

The HFS4 aquamist systems reads idc and rail pressure. Boost pressure is only used for correction.
For diesel, M50/W50 injection, it rarely needs failsafe as: No flow = loss of power = failsafe. All aquamist system has a flow sensor based failsafe. It will depend on you how you want it integrated if you run water only. Is the boost pressure controlled by a BCV on your engine?

There is a good tuning company in your country who is specialise on the disesel systems, see below. Give them a call.

Thanks for your replies. Yes my engine has a boost control valve. And first i think, i am going to use windshieldwater, so then it is going to be about 30/70 mixture.
I already consultated Dimitri at Esracing. He recommended me to order HFS-3 kit, and said, it can be easily controlled via railpressure sensor. More information was not coming from there ![]() So just i need to know where i should connect rail pressure sensor? When to look at the diagram, there is a injector +/- at user port and also at ECU port. Do you have to connect railpressure sensor + and - to one of them? ![]() Last edited by KertRe; 01-08-2017 at 09:48 AM. |

Use the aux or map sensor (more major role) input.

Map sensor i understand and know what wire i have to connect to the blue wire form pin ECU. But what is the yellow AUX wire for? Where should it be connected? And green wire goes to injector - ? May i also connect it to railpressure sensor m - ?
In that case, user pin wires i just leave empty? Sorry if my questions are a bit foolish, but i have never dealed with water/meth injection, so i want to make it clear to me, so there would be no errors if i start the installment Best regards, Kert |

The yellow wire is for a third load signal, affect +/- 15% of the final injection %. It is rarely used.

Then i just leave the USER port alone. Connect ECU port green wire to car injector - wire, red one to injector + wire, and blue wire to MAP sensor + wire?
Am i correct now? And thats it, system should work? |

if you are using the fuel injector signal on the green wire of the grey harness, you need to modify the underside of the circuit board to detect PWM (+). Cut and solder.
Also link the MPS. Post a picture of your ECU so I can confirm the correct wiring.
